Polish-born, Finland-based Catself makes songs that tell stories or capture moments in a poetic, but down-to-earth, straightforward way. With her memorable melodies and clever lyrics, she builds an atmosphere where fairytale meets energy and humour. On the surface her music is usually gentle, but when you follow it closely, you notice the underlying darkness – like in nature, where an idyllic forest hides a fight for survival.

A background in languages and literature (M.A. in English) as well as nature and outdoors (nature guide course) combined with an immense imagination and a traveller’s spirit give Catself both inspiration and tools for creating her music worlds.

What can you expect from a Catself concert? Songs about things beautiful and terrifying, happening in nature and in cities, in people's homes, waiting rooms, on vessels and in vehicles, worlds real and imagined. Also about love, desire and all the spectre of emotions that are part of a person.

Strong lyrics (Catself has been compared for example to Bob Dylan in terms of the lyrics' quality) come with often adventurous guitar and occasionally also piano accompaniment. On this occasion, Catself will accompany herself on two guitars.
