Funk, neo soul, indie from Schwerin / Barcelona

Flower crowns and disco balls – danceable drumbeats meet spherical ukulele sound and funk, soul and indie guitar influences. Influenced by the vibe of the 70s and 80s, the German-Spanish band presents catchy melodies and driving rhythms.
The music of LUNA SOUL is characterized by a colorful variety of genres and styles: lively, groovy and slightly melancholic you can hear echoes of Motown and StudioOne, the vocals are fragile and lively. The freedom of nonconformity is reflected in the songs: Luna Soul sing in their very own way of being torn and connected, confident and hopeful.
Lisa Michele Lietz (vocals, ukulele) from Schwerin and Jordi Arnau Rubio (vocals, e-guitar) from Barcelona founded Luna Soul in 2019. Since then, inspiration for songwriting has been provided above all by the musically formative sound of the seventies and eighties. The debut album "Hills Of Time" (2019) musically describes the stormy and uplifting experiences that life has in store and tells of ups and downs, refuge and independence, longing and love. Soul influences meet jazz chords as well as folky singer-songwriter songs - accompanied by a carrying ukulele and sitar, they merge with the full-bodied guitar sound.
On stage, Luna Soul present themselves as a real live band: a formation with catchy guitar riffs, a bass sound influenced by funk, driving drum beats and touching Gesa
ng.
Despite the crisis, Luna Soul have used the years 2020/21 intensively and worked on new songs: With the release of the singles "All My Life" (2021) and "Pieces Of My Patience" (2021) the band is opening up , to leave their musical traces and invites you to immerse yourself in their cosmos.
