The band "JOLPHIN" comes from Austria and is particularly good at one thing: unvarnished indie rock with a lot of (good) dirt inside.
With their sexy garage sound tracks, the guys from "JOLPHIN" hit the rock fans of this nation in the face so much that it's all too late. Finally guitars again, finally honest words from the throat of an indie rock singer, finally clinking cymbals and unbelievably fat rock sounds. Actually, you could already stop praising these charming city punks to the sky, because their vibe speaks volumes - and for itself.
But there'ss even more: the two musicians have known each other for a long time. When they were still at secondary school, they started covering various indie classics together with their friend Josef, who later left the band. It was already clear: It has to be in the face! So it's clear that if you take idols like Cage The Elephant or The Libertines, you probably won't write any, or only a few, sensitive piano ballads. And that's exactly what happened. In the meantime the duo has created their very own sound. "JOLPHIN" sounds like a young, wild and modern version of the Pigeon Detectives who, in addition to attitude and charm, ultimately simply do good songwriting. Not every hit has to be sterile on the click track, the chord can also come a little bit offset after the 1, the vocals don't need an autotune, why should they? In 2022, the dynamic duo has big plans again. After their first tour through Germany, Switzerland and Austria in autumn 2021, next year they will be going through these 3 countries for the second time. Buckle up, there's going to be a good time.
