David Beta is a singer, songwriter, storyteller. At the age of 13, the native of Kiel grabs his father's guitar and strums old classics by Hannes Wader and Reinhard Mey, then founds a noisy punk band to play Die Ärzte, Blink 182 and Green Day. David soon devotes himself to new paths, he begins to write his own songs in German and moves to his dream city of Hamburg to train as a musician and songwriter.
In Hamburg in 2019 he met the producer team Jens Carsten (Selig, Heinz Rudolf Kunze) and Zoran Grujovski (Udo Lindenberg, Das Pack) with whom he produces his first album. Showcases, TV appearances and a small unplugged tour along the North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts follow. Despite the long-lasting pandemic, David is undeterred and continues to compose and write new song gems.
After the successful release of his debut album "If I'm Ever Here" in 2021, David plans to release a new EP in 2022 and is now back with a first single - and its name is as unusual as its content: David succeeds with "Achim". at the same time an eloquent ballad, a touching love song and a stirring story about two people searching, finding and losing each other.
“Achim” is a modern fairy tale, arranged acoustically and minimalistically and in its aesthetics comparable to role models such as Reinhardt Mey and Hannes Wader. Nonetheless, David's new single is timely and deeply touching in its own way, another facet of the young musician and an important song for this time that shouldn't be missed.
